Chase of Deception

Chase of Deception is a first-person adventure game where players take on the role of Harry Thompson, a detective who is tasked with exploring an old, run-down house to find his older brother, Mac, and uncover the identity of a serial killer who has been murdering several people in the town of Dellmarsh. Players can walk and inspect objects for clues to help them uncover this mystery.

The game takes place in a single house containing two floors for players to explore, each of which containing items containing text for players to decipher in order to push the story forward.

• Perspective-wise, the game is derived off of titles such as Gone Home or The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
• Much like other narrative-driven mystery games, how players decipher these clues will be the driving force of the experience.
• The game is structured as such: Players will explore each floor of the house to look for clues to the identity of the serial killer. They will be inspecting multiple objects containing text that players will have to piece together in order to solve the mystery. After players find all the clues on a floor, they will have to find a key that unlocks the next floor, which has its own set of clues and an additional key that unlocks the final room, where the game ends.
